For the first time, we feel the need to publicly address this. Year after year, we have read essays filled with authentic personal experiences, unique aspirations, and real emotions. This year, it was different. The distinct voices that make applications stand out were nearly absent. Instead, we saw uniformity, AI-generated content that lacked depth, originality, and most importantly, authenticity.

We understand that AI can be a helpful tool but using it to write an entire essay takes away the most important part of your application, YOU. Your story, your struggles, your dreams, these are what set you apart. When AI replaces your voice, it also replaces your chance to make a real impression.

At Dream Hive, we are also a Christian organization, and at the core of our mission is a deep desire to serve and see Ghana thrive through the next generation of leaders. This means we uphold fairness, honesty, and integrity. There is no “protocol,” no favoritism, and no bribery in our selection process. Every application is carefully reviewed, and we Pray over every decision we make whether it results in an offer or a rejection.

While we understand that many applicants are in dire need, we cannot compromise our values. Even for those who used AI sparingly, whether 40% or 100% we could not accept these applications. Our message to students is simple, do the right thing. If you want to stand out, your best chance is to be original, be honest, and tell your own story.
