Dream Hive Scholarship Internship Agreement Document
Dear Applicant,
We are delighted to offer you an internship position with the Dream Hive Scholarship. This letter outlines the terms and conditions of your internship with us.
Internship Duties and Expectations
Responsibilities:
- You will be using tools such as Figma, Canva, ClickUp for project management, WordPress, Google Workspace, and other relevant tools.
- Additional tools and the details of your duties will be communicated to you by the program director.
- You are expected to complete work by the deadlines set and are encouraged to go above and beyond in your duties. Cutting corners will not be tolerated and may result in termination.
- You are required to bring fresh ideas and do what is best for the organization.
- We look for interns who are proactive and self-driven, capable of taking initiative without needing constant direction. As such, we want you to take charge of your tasks, make decisions, and deliver your best work.
- Embrace autonomy, anticipate what needs to be done, and go beyond the basics. Show us that you can lead your projects and consistently meet and exceed our expectations.
Orientation:
- You are required to attend an orientation session before your start date. The date will be communicated well in advance to give you ample time to prepare. The orientation will be held virtually, and attendance is mandatory.
Professional Conduct:
- You must behave appropriately and avoid any misconduct with students, parents, teammates, or any other individuals you interact with on behalf of Dream Hive Scholarship.
- You will hold the image of our organization and are expected to engage and act in accordance with our values. Any form of misconduct, including but not limited to sexual, physical, or any other form of abuse, will not be tolerated and will be addressed accordingly.
- Confidentiality is paramount. You must not discuss any information shared through social media, email, or other platforms with anyone outside the organization, except to assist applicants professionally. Personal information and details must be treated respectfully and diligently, avoiding any external disclosure.
- You must not make any promises or give false hopes to applicants. Keep responses generic but respectful to avoid liability for the organization.
Remote Work Expectations:
- This internship is fully remote/virtual. You are still expected to maintain a professional demeanor, adhere to the company’s dress code during video meetings, and be punctual.
- You must ensure a quiet and professional environment for meetings and work tasks.
- You are expected to attend all Dream Hive events and meetings, whether virtual or in-person if required.
Meetings:
- You are expected to attend no more than two meetings each week: one retrospective meeting in line with agile methodology and one mentorship meeting.
- Daily virtual scrum meetings are required, and you must engage and work with your teammates, if any.
- Be prepared for occasional impromptu meetings, though we will minimize these as much as possible.
Reporting and Mentorship:
- You will report to Sarah Kyeremeh, the program director, and she will mentor you throughout your internship.
- Your internship may be extended based on performance and the needs of the organization.
